The kpop fever returns: Super Junior will be performing in Lima in April.
The south korean band has confirmed their show in our capital on April 27th of this year. The performance promises to be one of the most impressive in the visual way.
Saying kpop doesnt sound as extrange as it was in the past. Psy, with his Gangnam Style, has put korean music in everybodys mouth. In Peru, we had lived the invasion of the hallyu wave, with the visit of Big Bang, JYJ y U-kiss. This year, the “boom” carries on with the visit of Super Junior. SuJu, as is also known, will be performing the next April 27th in the Jockey Club.
The band is one of the most popular in the world. Plus, is the biggest under their talent agency SM Entertainment. In the beggining, it was form by 12 members. Currently there are nine: Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.
The singer Han Geng, step down from the group in 2009, after suing the agency. On the other hand, Heechul and Leteuk are enlisted in the army of their country to full fill the mandatory military service. Once they finish, they can continue with the group activities.
SuJu will bring his tour Super Show 4 that promotes their fifth album “Mr. Simple”. The record ranked 3rd on the World Albums ranking on Billboard. “Mr. Simple”, “Opera” and “Good Friends” are a few of th songs that are in the album, and surely will be perform in the concert.
Super Junior started the year with the right foot. In the Seoul Music Awards 2013, they won two awards the Bonsang, that they share with other bands like Big Bang and 2NE1, besides to the Hallyu Special Award.
They have also won other awards like Favorite Artist Korea, from the TV Asia Awards, and the Asia Artist of the Year in the chinese ceremony Tencent Stars Magnificent.
They closed 2012 leading the charts of the physical album sells in their country. “Sexy, Free & Single”, their latest album had sold 177, 718 copies.
